The brilliant Josh Katz of Berber & Q, hailed as the chef who made ‘meat on a stick a thing of beauty’ will bring his sexed up shwarma to Dublin for the weekend.
After studying in UK, Australia and Le Cordon Bleu Josh worked at Galvin Bistrot de Luxe, Ottolenghi and then Made In Camden. He went on to work as Chef Consultant at Zest, the acclaimed restaurant attached to JW3, the Jewish Community Centre that launched in October 2013. The restaurant was awarded a rare 9/10 by The Saturday Times’ Giles Coren, who declared Zest “the best new restaurant in northwest London to open in ten years”. The Observer critic Jay Rayner later noted that “the food is delicious… it tastes like you are both being kind to yourself and showing your mouth a good time.”
He went on to open Berber & Q in East London inspired by exposure to diverse cultures and cuisine, growing up in North London and spending time in Istanbul and Marrakech.
