Mercedes “Mecha” Solís

Mecha Solís is a chef from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Starting cooking with her mom and grandmother as a child, she has never stopped since! Her work as a chef has led her on many adventures in different countries, working with many chefs who changed her story. Her biggest mentors have been German Martitegui, the first person, she says, who believed in her; Lele Cristobal, who became much more than just a teacher to her; and Narda Lepes, her counsellor.
Now based in Bariloche, Patagonia, Mecha is planning to open her own restaurant soon with a mix of fire and local products.
