As a freelance journalist, editor and broadcaster, Dee’s passion is covering Irish food and drink, and travel.
Dee is co-founder and editor of Scoop food magazine, an annual journal that shares the inside story on Irish food; she also writes on food for Irish Country Magazine, TheTaste.ie, and the award-winning Climate supplement in The Sunday Times.
Previously co-host of the award-winning Spice Bags podcast (concluded in 2023), Dee will be soon launching a new podcast Beár Bia, with Oisín Davis, focusing on regional Irish food and drink pairings.
Her passion for food has led her to many roles in the industry including a judge of Blas na hÉireann (Irish food awards), a food tour guide with Fab Food Trails, and she is a proud member of the Irish Food Writers’ Guild.
However hosting is one of her favourite roles, especially at Big Grill, and you can catch her at Bastecamp, as usual, hosting demos and having the craic!
