Elizabeth Haigh is a celebrated chef based in London, renowned for her innovative and dynamic culinary creations. Originally from Singapore, Haigh masterfully blends traditional Singaporean cuisine with Michelin-starred techniques, resulting in unique and elegant dishes. She earned widespread acclaim at Pidgin in Hackney, securing a Michelin star in 2016 before launching her own venture, Mei Mei.
Mei Mei, opened in 2019 in the iconic Borough Market. Mei mei is a celebration of authentic flavours, bringing a taste of Singapore to London specialising in Hainanese Chicken Rice, Nasi Lemak and authentic tea and coffee from Singapore. The Evening Standard describes Mei Mei as a “cultural celebration,” while The Financial Times recommends, “go now and experience her genius, for pocket change.” In 2021, Mei Mei was awarded “Best Street Food” at the London Restaurant Awards by Harden.
